CCCC Recycling Video - This video discusses the green initiative for the campus and the recycling program.  I also interview a few students and show some trash cans.

Items that can not be recycled in the main system at this time:

Item 1—Styrofoam –This is the recycling enemy number 1, we must keep Styrofoam out of our waste stream, even if it is the new Styrofoam that breaks down through composting, it must be kept out of the general waste stream.

What we must do---The great majority of Styrofoam enters the Collage as packing material—all such packing material must be bagged separately and lefty for facilities to dispose of separately. The other way Styrofoam comes here is as disposable coffee cups, first don’t accept such cups from your coffee establishment, but if you do that cup is your responsibility to dispose of in an outdoor rubbish container as the outdoor containers will continue to be treated as non recyclable waste.

Item 2.—Wimpy plastic grocery bags---You know the ones I mean, the bags with two handle holes cut in them that are hanging from trees all over the Cape. What we need to do, don’t accept them as you do your shopping, if you can’t avoid them, don’t bring them here. If you do bring one to campus it is your responsibility to take home or to dispose of in an outdoor rubbish container. The recycle center can handle almost all plastic bags but these wimpy bags really mess up the machines.

Item 3---Big plastic pales---You know, like the Home Depot pales—leave these for facilities to pick up they are still trying to get the sorter to handle these, they may well be a non issue in the future.

Item 4---Food waste, including paper with food on it---There are three choices, take it home, compost it in the cafeteria, or dispose of it in an outdoor container. This has potential of being the toughest for folks but it is key to our success.

The Quest for the Golden Unicorn - This video was made during the final video blogging class. It was sheer spontaneity for the creation of this video.

I started recording this video with only the title. "The Quest for the Golden Unicorn" before I started filming I was looking for a place to begin and immediately after I saw the elevator I knew that would where I would begin, at the time machine, the rest of the video is improved in its entirety.

Video Mashups - These questions were asked by my classmates for the video blogging class, the first question is, "What do you like to do at CCCC?" and the second question, "Now that Obama is President-elect, do you have more hope?"
